About Us

Friend In Need was created within our community, and exists solely to help those who are in need in Cape May County.  In the years since this foundation has been established, Friend In Need has raised thousands of dollars for local friends and families.

Friend In Need continues to help and support your customers, your friends and sometimes even your family through times of need. 

Unfortunately due to COVID - the organization's largest Annual Fundraiser, the Friend In Need Super Bash was canceled. Donations are being accepted online at https://givebutter.com/2021FINSuperBash.

Our History
Friend In Need was created in 2003 by a group of Avalon residents.  A local member of the community was was experiencing a medical emergency and in need of help.  A Beef and Beer was quickly arranged to help raise funds.  Encouraged by the outpour of community support, Friend In Need was created and has hosted an annual fundraiser every year during the Super Bowl.

Friend In Need's Super Bash is THE place to be when planning your Super Bowl Sunday.  Partnering with The Princeton in Avalon, NJ, party goers are treated to delicious food and great prizes and chances.  Not to mention gigantic televisions to cheer on your favorite team.

As the committee continues to grow, Friend In Need has partnered with other organizations to help raise funds and host more events including the Mull-Morial Weekend, Mike Grey Memorial Golf Tournament and The Princeton Reunion.
